Marriage Moment. The winter solstice brings the longest night of the year. Warm it with candlelight. For some couples, however, dark nights bring depression. If you are among those who are currently struggling in your marriage, turn to the power of prayer as one resource.

Parenting Perspective. These last few days before Christmas can be hectic - concerts, cooking, creating gifts. As the nights grow longer, a candle can be your friend. Light the third Advent candle tonight and pause, gaze, take a deep breath. Let the pause refresh and calm you.

USCCB-Word of Life: Those who sow in tears will reap with cries of joy. Those who go forth weeping, carrying sacks of seed, will return with cries of joy, carrying their bundled sheaves. Psalm 126:5-6.

USCCB-Palabra de Vida: Entre gritos de j?bilo cosecharßn aquellos que siembran con dolor. Al ir, iban llorando, cargando le semilla; al regresar, cantando vendrßn con sus gavillas. Salmo 125 (126):5-6.
