Holy Week schedule at St. Joseph Cathedral

The following liturgies are scheduled for Holy Week at St. Joseph Cathedral.
 
Saturday, March 28 -- Vigil Mass, Palm Sunday
4:30 p.m. - Vigil Mass for Palm Sunday
 
 
Sunday, March 29 - Palm Sunday
8 a.m. - Mass of the Lord's Passion
 
10:30 a m. - Solemn Mass with the blessing of palms; Bishop Richard J. Malone, Th.D.,
celebrant
 
 
Tuesday, March 31 - Chrism Mass
7 p.m. - Bishop Malone, celebrant, will bless three urns of oil, the oil of catechumens, used to bless those who are about to be baptized; the oil of chrism that is used in the Sacrament of Baptism, the Sacrament of Confirmation and the Sacrament of Holy Orders; and the oil of the sick which is used in the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick.  Priests and deacons from throughout the diocese will take the oil to their parishes for use throughout the year.  All priests are invited to concelebrate.
 
 
Thursday, April 2 - Holy Thursday
7 p.m. - Mass of the Lord's Supper; Bishop Malone, celebrant
 
Adoration until 10 p.m. in the Lady Chapel
 
Friday, April 3 - Good Friday
7:30 a.m. - Office of Readings and Morning Prayer; Bishop Malone, presider
 
Noon - Solemn celebration of the Lord's Passion; Bishop Malone, celebrant
 
3 p.m. - Stations of the Cross
 
 
Saturday, April 4 - Holy Saturday
7:30 a.m. - Office of Readings and Morning Prayer; Bishop Malone, presider
 
8:15 p.m. - Easter Vigil; Bishop Malone, celebrant

Sunday, April 5 - Easter Sunday
8 a.m. - Mass for Easter Day
 
10:30  a.m. - Solemn Mass for Easter; Father Peter Drilling, celebrant
 
St. Joseph Cathedral is wheelchair accessible.
