WILLIAMSVILLE — The Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities will host their 14th annual "Food & Wine Tasting" on Tuesday, May 3, at St. Mary of the Angels, 201 Reist St., Williamsville.  The tasting will take place from 5 to 7 p.m., and all proceeds will benefit the sisters' important ministries throughout Western New York and beyond.

Sister Patricia Burkard, OSF, Edda Feneziani, Barbara Mazurkiewicz and Linda Shick will serve as this year's honorary hosts. Sister Patricia is the diocesan coordinator of the Priests' Retirement Residences for the Diocese of Buffalo, and also served as general minister of the congregation. Feneziani, Mazurkiewicz and Shick have been supporters of the Sisters of St. Francis for many years, and are involved with other Western New York charities.

Georgetown Square Wine & Liquors will again provide the wine to be served at the event. Attendees will also be able to sample gourmet food, and bid on an array of attractive items in silent and live auctions. Thom Diina and Ray Chamberlain will provide live entertainment, and Cash Cunningham will serve as auctioneer for the live auction.

Some of the auction items include one week in a beautiful condo at Siesta Key, Fla.; a Father Baker Remembrance Package with religious articles, books and more; private dinners in fine dining restaurants; and deluxe Buffalo Bills and Sabres packages.
The event will also feature the ever-popular "Nun-Sweeter" Bake Sale and "Nun-Better" chocolates, and all attendees will receive souvenir wine glasses and hors d'oeuvre trays.  New this year, there will also be a "Wine Pull."

Tickets are $50 per person.
