EGGERTSVILLE — St. Benedict School technology coordinator and pre-K through eighth-grade Technology teacher, Marcia Elliott, is enhancing her primary and intermediate grade coding program. She will be introducing coding robots Dash and Dot with the primary grades and Cue with her middle school students.

"Using Dash and Dot transforms coding and STEM education into an active learning experience," Elliott said.

Incorporating Cue into the curriculum expands the students' knowledge and prepares them for STEM-related careers in a collaborative, student-centered manner. St. Benedict School continues to embrace 21st-century education and the digital age. All students utilize technology daily, across all content areas.

Pre-school and primary students routinely use iPads, while intermediate and middle school classrooms work with Chromebooks and tablets. Students are able to use technology as not only a learning tool, but also as a way to present new learning through various presentations and projects.

St. Benedict School has access to multiple facets of technology in their classrooms and teachers who seize the learning opportunities these technologies can provide the students.
