On Thursday, Jan. 31, the Foundation of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo will host the 19th annual Gala 22:6 - A Celebration of Catholic Education. Since its inception in 2001, the dinner has provided more than $4 million in financial assistance to help students and their families who are most in need.

"We believe that the greatest gift one can give is a robust, Catholic education," said Dr. Michael LaFever, superintendent of schools for the Catholic Diocese of Buffalo, adding, "This special evening is our chance to help ensure that opportunity for even more Western New York families."

For 2019, the gala will celebrate the theme "A Place to Belong," showcasing all of the endless possibilities afforded to children who attend Catholic schools. Cocktail hour will feature the event's first-ever student art show, with work from students pre-K through eighth grade will have work displayed and bid on. Gala 22:6 also honors select individuals who have made an impact on their schools in meaningful ways.

Juhasz readily stands as a pillar of faith-filled philanthropy within Western New York, both personally and through her family foundation. Dwyer has dedicated himself to keeping the spirit of Catholic education alive throughout Genesee County, regularly investing in its local schools and programming.
