Camille Brandon to be Pulaski Day Parade Grand Marshal

Red and white colors of Polonia will line Walden Avenue and Harlem Road in Cheektowaga as the 80th annual Pulaski Day Parade makes its way from the Thruway Plaza to Cheektowaga Town Park. The parade begins at 1:30 p.m. on July 22.

This year's celebration marks the 100th anniversary of Polish independence.

The grand marshal of the Pulaski Parade is Camille Brandon, director of the General Pulaski Association, Inc., chairperson of the Cheektowaga Youth Board and board member of the American Heart Association.

Bishop Richard J. Malone, Auxiliary Bishop Edward Grosz and Bishop John Mack, HMRC National Catholic Church, will serve as honorary grand marshals along with other officials.
On Saturday July 21 at 5:30 p.m. the 100th Anniversary of Poland's independence will be celebrated with the General Pulaski Association Gala at Samuel's Grande Manor, 8750 Main Street, Clarence. Special guests include Poland's Secretary of State Anna Maria Anders, M*A*S*H* TV star Loretta Swit, CBS TV Inside Edition host Rita Cosby and Colleen Paderewski, relative of the Second Prime Minister of Poland Ignacy Paderewski. Coordinating the gala is chairperson, Alicia Rodzoch along with Co-chair Joseph Mikolaj Rej, Jr.

Tickets are $75 per person and tables of 10 are $700. Please make checks payable to Pulaski Association and mail to Treasurer Edward Reska, 4654 Kingswood Lane, Hamburg, NY 14075.
In conjunction with Cheektowaga's 40th Polish American Festival, Poland's Disco Polo Star "Junior" will perform at Cheektowaga Town Park at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 22.
