Blood levels drop in the summer, so the Red Cross needs help. The blood donated from one person could mean the difference between life and death.

Several Catholic churches and institutions in the Diocese of Buffalo will be holding blood drives in the next few weeks. Take a few moments to look over the list below and donate blood. This selfless act can have such a positive impact on improving the lives of others.

Drives will be held: Sept. 13, St. John the Baptist, West Valley, 2-7 p.m.; Sept. 17, Blessed Mary Angela Parish, Dunkirk St. Hedwig worship site, 12-6 p.m.; Sept. 19, St. Mary, Holley, 1:30-6:30 p.m.; Sept. 22, St. Joseph, Holland, 1-5 p.m.; Oct. 6, Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.; Oct. 8, St. John Vianney, Orchard Park, 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m.; Oct. 11, SS.
