The congregation of St. Gregory the Great Parish invites everyone to join in celebrating the 25th anniversary of the ordination to the priesthood of Pastor Father Leon J. Biernat on Sunday, June 4, at the 12:30 p.m. Mass at St. Gregory's. Following Mass there will be a reception held in the Ministry Center and Parish grounds.

On May 30, 1992, Father Biernat was ordained a priest at his home parish, Assumption of Buffalo, and assigned to serve as parochial vicar at Holy Spirit in North Buffalo. Since then he has served in many capacities such as director of Vocations for the Diocese of Buffalo, vice president of the National Conference of Diocesan Vocation Directors, parochial vicar of St. Amelia Parish, Tonawanda, and pastor of Our Lady of Pompeii, Lancaster. Most recently Pope Francis honored Father Biernat to be knighted as a member of the Equestrian Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher.
