St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute is pleased to announce the dates for its annual open house for prospective students and their families. The event will take place on Sunday, Oct. 2 from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Monday, Oct. 3 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the school, located at 845 Kenmore Ave. in Buffalo.

Prospective students, currently in grades 5, 6, 7 and 8, and their families are welcome. No reservations are necessary. Registration and private tours will begin in the Brotherhood Commons, where families will be greeted by St. Joe's President Robert T. Scott and paired with student tour guides. Faculty and staff will be on-site to discuss the St. Joe's 1:1 iPad program, college-preparatory curriculum, service opportunities, extracurricular activities and more.

Open house is an excellent opportunity for prospective students and their families to see the entire St. Joe's campus. The tour will offer a glimpse of modern facilities including the state-of-the-art science center, all-weather athletic complex, fine arts wing, computer labs, fitness center and chapel. Guests will also view the most recent renovations, completed this summer, including the reimagined library - now a digital commons - and refurbished gymnasium.

During the event, prospective students have the opportunity to sign-up to be a "Marauder for a Day" and register for the Entrance Exam Preparatory Course.

The "Marauder for a Day" Program for 8th graders begins on September 19 and concludes on Nov. 17.

The Entrance Exam Preparatory Course takes place on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to noon beginning Oct. 22 and concluding on Nov. 12.

The Entrance and Scholarship Examination will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19, at 8:30 a.m. The preparatory courses and the entrance and scholarship exam will take place at St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute. The cost for the entrance examination is $20 per student.
