Dr. Catherine M. Griswold has been named dean of the Catherine McAuley School of Nursing at Trocaire College in Buffalo.

"Trocaire aligns with my beliefs about education and the importance of both student achievement and dynamic clinical learning opportunities," Griswold said. "The college's mission of empowerment is vital to the future of nursing and the community we serve, and I'm proud to have joined an institution that prioritizes such an important value."

Born and raised in Buffalo, Griswold served in the United States Army and was stationed at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Griswold's career includes more than 15 years of experience as a clinician in hospitals and medical practices in the Baltimore area.

"Dr. Griswold brings tremendous value to Trocaire College," said Dr. Theresa Knott, Trocaire's associate vice president of Academic Affairs. "As a leader in nursing education, she is positioned to build on the legacy of the Catherine McAuley School of Nursing to develop evidence-based and innovative nursing curriculum at the certificate, AAS and baccalaureate levels."
