Vocations and Religious Life Lecture. Sister Consolata and Sister Mary David from the Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George in Illinois will be at St. Gregory the Great Parish, 200 St. Gregory Court, Williamsville on Thursday, April 21 at 7pm to talk on the call to vocations and religious life. Sister Maria Christi Delaney from St. Gregory the Great Parish is currently in formation at their religious community. At the end, the lecture will open up for any questions about their order or religious life in general. This event is open to everyone. Retrouvaille / Rediscovery is a program for troubled marriages. Do you feel alone? Are you frustrated or angry with each other? Retrouvaille helps couples through difficult times. Third Option Program. Do you need to find the joy in your marriage and live a happier, healthier life together? If so, consider attending the Third Option program. This skills-based group helps participants build stronger, more fulfilling marriages. Group meetings are held every third Sunday from 6-8pm at Resurrection Life, 2145 Old Union Road, Cheektowaga. Evening Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Holy Hour for the Jubilee Year of Mercy on Thursday, April 28 from 6-7pm at St. Andrew's Church, 1525 Sheridan Drive, Kenmore. All invited! Join us in the presence of Christ for a few minutes or for the entire time.

The Holocaust Resource Center of Buffalo invites the public to Yom HaShoah 2016, a commemoration of the Holocaust on Sunday, May 1 at 1pm at Temple Beth Zion, 805 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo. The event features the premiere of a short video presentation created by Jim Gang and Rich Kellman, "We Remember - Six Local Holocaust Survivors Speak," as well as prayers, music and a candle-lighting ceremony. All ages are welcome.

Chicken Dinner. St. Michael's Church, 651 Washington Street, Buffalo is having a Chiavetta's Chicken Dinner on Ascension Thursday, May 5 from 4-7pm. This is take-out only. St. Patrick's Cemetery Dinner & Gala. St. Patrick's Cemetery Committee of All Saints Parish in Lockport announces a 150th Anniversary of the Consecration of the Cemetery Celebration Dinner and Gala on Saturday, May 7 from 5:30-11pm at the Cornell Cooperative Extension, Lake Avenue, Lockport. Bishop Timon-St. Jude High School to hold 7th Grade Practice Entrance Exam. St. Vincent's Door Project. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul has launched the St. Vincent's Door Project which benefits women in transition and their children that are served through the Society of St. Vincent de Paul's core programs. This includes those that are single mothers, were recently homeless or have other life changes that come to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and its local conferences throughout Erie and Niagara Counties. The St. Vincent's Door Opening Night will be held at the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Center, 1298 Main Street, Buffalo on Wednesday, May 18 at 6pm. Middle School Eucharistic Retreat. Our annual Middle School Eucharistic Retreat will be held from Friday, May 20 at 6pm through Saturday, May 21 at 9pm at Christ the King Seminary, 711 Knox Road, East Aurora. The theme for this year's retreat is "So Long Self." The cost includes lodging, meals, t-shirt and all retreat activities. Please encourage your 6th-8th graders to join us for this excellent experience. This event is sponsored by Encounter - a multi-parish youth ministry effort organized so that teens may encounter the presence of Christ in the Eucharist. Calix is a gathering of individuals who want to improve their spiritual program because they are afflicted or affected by the disease of alcoholism. Calix is for people who are putting together a spiritual program which uses the 12 Step approach. A journey which brings Step 11 into a deeper and fuller meaning.
