The diocesan Office of Pro-Life Activities and Baker Victory Services are sponsoring a Mass for all those who have been touched by adoption -- birthparents, adoptees, adoptive parents, grandparents and other relatives.

The Mass will be held on Saturday, April 13, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Basilica, Ridge Road and South Park Avenue in Lackawanna.

Msgr. Paul J. E. Burkard, pastor at the basilica, will be the main celebrant and homilist.  There will be a reception after Mass.

During the service, birth mothers are invited to place a rose in a basket on the altar in memory of the child they surrendered.  Adoptees are invited to place a flower to honor their birth mother while adoptive parents may place a rose on the altar in thanksgiving for the gift of life that was given to them through adoption.

For more information, call Baker Victory Services at 828-9570 or the Office of Pro-Life Activities at 847-2205.
