Buffalo Diocese and hundreds of thousands of other Catholics will be taking a pilgrimage of public witness to Washington, D.C. They are calling for the end of abortion in the United States.

The March for Life takes place at the National Mall on January, 18. The marchers will then proceed to the Supreme Court building.

Director of Pro-Life Activities, Cheryl Calire says that people of every age, sex, religion, background, all have the common denominator of being pro-life. The purpose is to offer penance and prayer for all those affected by the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion.

Together all will pray and publicly intercede on behalf of the unborn, parents, families, communities, nation and leaders.

The Diocese of Buffalo will have a large banner so that people can find the group in the crowd. Also cell phones and a buddy system will be used during this trip for safety purposes and in order to keep in constant communication with each other.
