Annual Chicken Barbeque on Sunday, July 19 at St. George Parish, 74 Old Glenwood Road, West Falls from 12-4pm or until sold out. Dinner includes ? chicken by Krolick's, salt potatoes, chef salad, roll, butter, dessert and beverage. Take-outs available. There will also be a Theme Basket Auction and 50/50 raffles. Lawn Fete at St. Martha's Parish, 10 French Road, Depew on July 24-26. Entertainment in the Main Bar on Friday and Saturday from 7:30-11:30pm featuring the band Hit 'N Run. Coughlin's Pub on Friday will feature the band The Strangers from 6-11pm. Saturday West of the Mark will be playing from 7:30-11:30pm. Rides will be provided on Friday and Saturday by American Amusement Rentals. Ride bracelets may be purchased. Chiavetta's Chicken Barbeque will be held on Sunday, July 26 from 12:30-5:30pm (or until sold out). Lawn Fete hours are Friday from 5pm-midnight; Saturday from 12pm-midnight; and Sunday from 12-6pm. The Bishop's Committee Visitors Annual Fall Meeting and Luncheon will be held on Thursday, October 8 at St. Philip the Apostle, 950 Losson Road, Cheektowaga from 9am-2pm. Cheryl Calire, Director of Pro-Life Activities, Project Rachel Ministry and Sidewalk Advocates for Life, will be the speaker. Bishop Richard Malone will be the guest speaker at the 12:15pm luncheon. Calix is a gathering of individuals who want to improve their spiritual program because they are afflicted or affected by the disease of alcoholism. Calix is for people who are putting together a spiritual program which uses the 12 step approach. A journey which brings Step 11 into a deeper and fuller meaning. Care for Creation. Living our vocation to be protectors of God's handiwork is essential to a life of virtue; it is not an optional or a secondary aspect of our Christian experience.
