St. Gregory the Great Parish & School is excited to welcome Mrs. Julie Gajewski as the new School Principal. Mrs. Gajewski joins St. Gregory's after serving as Principal of the Intermediate Education Center, a school that serves Grades 3-5 in the Lewiston-Porter Central School District.

"I am excited and blessed to have joined a leader in Catholic Education. It will be my mission to learn how I can serve this highly effective School and foster a commitment to Catholic Education. Together we will continue to support the mission of St. Gregory the Great School of academic excellence, high expectations, providing a structured loving environment and fostering a commitment of service to others," stated Mrs. Gajewski.

Mrs. Gajewski's educational background consists of a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from John Carroll University, a Master of Science in Special Education from Canisius College and a Master's degree in Educational Administration and Leadership from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She also served as an Assistant Principal in the K-5 building in the Hamburg Central School District. While at Hamburg School District she developed relationships with students and families through implementing a positive behavior program. She coordinated the Peer Helper Program and Student Safety Patrol.

Most importantly, Mrs. Gajewski is proud of her Catholic Education background. She attended St. Andrew's Country Day School in Kenmore and is a graduate of Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart. She feels as a graduate of Catholic Education from elementary school through college, she will be able to support and nurture the Faith Formation of students and families while maintaining a rigorous academic learning environment.

"I look forward to developing relationships throughout the year to learn more about this exceptional School and Parish community. I will collaborate with our Pastor, Reverend Leon Biernat, Assistant Principal Eric Roy, the School Board, faculty, staff, families and students to learn about and preserve the vision, mission and Gospel values of St. Gregory the Great School and Parish community. Together we will create lifelong learners who want to continue to practice their faith and strive for academic and personal excellence," said Mrs. Gajewski.
