EAST AURORA - Christ the King Seminary invites Western New York Christians and supporters to celebrate Holy Week at the seminary.

The schedule of liturgical events taking place at the seminary beginning on Palm Sunday and continuing through the celebration of the Triduum, marking the end of the Lenten season and leading up to the Mass of the Resurrection of the Lord at the Easter Vigil, follows:

Palm Sunday Mass - Sunday, April 9, 10:30 a.m. - Father Joseph Gatto presiding

Mass of the Lord's Supper - Thursday, April 13, 7:00 p.m. - Father John Mack presiding

Celebration of the Lord's Passion - Friday, April 14, 3:00 p.m. - Msgr. Richard Siepka presiding

Easter Vigil - Saturday, April 15, 8:30 p.m. - Father John Staak, OMI, presiding

According to Father Joseph Gatto, President-Rector, seminarians will play a key role in each of the liturgies, including assisting with the planning of the liturgies, and organizing the logistics and flow of each service. "The Holy Week services are both unique and central to the Church year and the Easter celebration, thus they require special attention, and provide a wonderful spiritual and educational opportunity for our future priests," said Father Gatto.

All four events will take place in St. John Vianney Chapel at the seminary.
