Pro-Life Office: USCCB-Word of Life: Our relationships on earth are meant to help us and others grow in perfect love. We are meant to depend on one another, serve each other in humility, and walk together in times of suffering.

Marriage Moment. As Christians we believe that Jesus rose from the dead. As humans we know that each of us will eventually die. When you are honest with yourself, do you really believe in an afterlife? What do you think it will be like? Talk it over with your beloved.

Parenting Perspective. On this "Good" Friday, we remember that Jesus experienced humiliation and the physical suffering of the crucifixion. Death is the ultimate letting go of self. Few of us will be in a position to surrender our lives for our faith through physical martyrdom, but letting go of pride and ego can be a spiritual martyrdom and not for the fainthearted. Take stock of your attitudes of pride, self-righteousness, and wanting to be right and important today. Help your children understand true humility.

Are you or is someone you know an out of work job seeker? Facing the challenge of being unemployed and working through this tough economy is tough enough. You don't have to go it alone. Contact the Office of Family Life Ministries for your free packet containing practical resources, prayers, scripture support, and programs designed to support you on your journey. Just call us at 716-847-2210 or email familylife@buffalodiocese.org.

Journey into Love. The Office of Family Life Ministries is looking for married couples to assist with the monthly diocesan marriage preparation program, Journey Into Love. Married couples help by giving a 20-minute talk once or twice a year on essential topics and issues that engaged and newly married couples face. Married couples that support this ministry find it beneficial to their own marriage, and their efforts contribute to the strengthening of family life as couples prepare for their marriage. If you are interested in finding out more about this very successful diocesan marriage program, please call the Office of Family Life Ministries at 716-847-2210.
