Christmas Masses to be celebrated at Catholic cemeteries

Four Christmas Masses will be celebrated as Catholic Cemeteries of Buffalo takes time to allow families to pray for and remember their loved ones at this special time of year.

Monday, Dec. 28, Masses will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery (Kenmore), Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum, and at Gate of Heaven Cemetery (Lewiston), Holy Angels Chapel Mausoleum.

Masses will be celebrated on Tuesday, Dec. 29, at Holy Cross Cemetery (Lackawanna), Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, and Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (Cheektowaga), St. Francis of Assisi Chapel Mausoleum.

All Masses will begin at 5:30 p.m.

"Christmas is a time for family and friends to gather and share memories," said Carmen Colao, director of Catholic Cemeteries of Buffalo.  "These special Masses allow families join together in prayer for their loved ones who are now at rest in the Lord."
