St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute has scheduled this year's Collegiate Summer! for June 29 through July 24. The a four-week program is designed exclusively for students entering eighth grade. The program takes place at St. Joe's (845 Kenmore Avenue) and aims to help young men get ready for high school - and have some fun too.

Collegiate Summer! offers participants the opportunity to hone their academic skills (reading, writing, mathematics, science, critical thinking and technology), participate in group recreational activities (sports, board games, movies, games and art activities), partake in off-site field trips (past trips have included Maid of the Mist, Six Flags Darien Lake, Old Fort Niagara, Cave of the Winds and Adventure Speedway), and receive advice from a variety of professional guest speakers.

The cost per participant is $450, with additional fees required for field trips.

For more information about participating in Collegiate Summer!, contact Pete Kennedy, director of admissions, at (716) 874-4953 or pkennedy@sjci.com, or visit www.sjci.com to download a brochure and application.
