Ladies of Charity is holding their 21st Annual Bellringer Silent Auction and Luncheon on Saturday, March 21 at 11am at Kotecki's Grandview Grove, 4685 Seneca Street, West Seneca (1.2 miles east of Union Road). Lucky Number and silent auction of vintage items and collectibles and gift cards/certificates. Enjoy a delicious family style luncheon. Pre-paid reservations only by March 13. Tables will fill up fast, so don't miss the chance to join your friends and support Ladies of Charity and its ministries. Lectio Divina Workshop. Open the door to Christ by praying with the Word. Lectio Divina is a way to prayerfully contemplate Scripture through slow, meditative reading. This traditional prayer form can lead to a deeply personal prayer experience. Participants will experience Lectio Divina and will be equipped to lead small groups in their parishes. Day or evening session on Tuesday, March 24: 9:30am-2:30pm at St. Vincent de Paul Parish, 6441 Seneca Street, Springbrook or 6- 8:30pm at St. John the Baptist Parish, 1085 Englewood Avenue, Kenmore. Annual Spring Raffle. Good Shepherd Church, 5442 Tonawanda Creek Road, North Tonawanda will hold their Annual Spring Raffle on Saturday, March 28 after the 4:30pm Mass in the Pendleton Parish Hall. There will be a Chinese Auction and music. Call the parish office at 716-625-8594 to reserve a table for 8. There is no charge. Pot luck dinner and roast beef sandwiches will be available. Raffle and theme basket tickets may be purchased at the door.

Blessed Trinity's 2014-15 Trinity Concert Series continues at 3pm on Sunday, March 29 when the Camerata di Sant' Antonio, under the direction of Christopher Weber, presents Mozart Noir celebrating the music of gifted Black Composers. Selections will include the U.S. premier of the Haitian Dance Suite by Samuel Coleridge Taylor (aka the "Black Mahler") and works of the Chevalier de Saint George (known as the "Mozart noir") whose music inspired the young Wolfgang Amadeus and made music history. Church docents will provide pre-concert tours of the Buffalo Landmark from 2:15-2:45pm and there will be a post-concert reception. The Donut Man is coming to town! The Donut Man has a weekly children's show on EWTN. Sacred Heart Parish in Lakewood is sponsoring the Donut Man to appear in concert on Sunday, April 26 at 5pm in the Southwestern High School auditorium. Marriage Moment. "I establish my covenant with you." (Genesis 9:11) Although this passage refers to God's covenant with Noah to never again destroy all living creatures by a flood, your marriage is likewise a life-giving promise. Choose a symbol (like a rainbow) to be a reminder of your promise to each other.

Parenting Perspective. When your child marches to a different drummer, your main task is to support them when the culture may not. (Parenting Your Adult Child) This applies to gender identity, a special needs child, or simply one in crisis. Love them but don't pamper them.
