Summer music festival at Mount St. Mary Academy

KENMORE — Mount St. Mary Academy will host its fifth-annual Summer Music Festival, featuring a Super Cruise Car Show and food truck rally, on Aug. 26, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., on the front lawn of the school, 3756 Delaware Ave.


Classic car fans will enjoy the Super Cruise Car Show, which begins at 11 a.m. with a local DJ playing great tunes. Food trucks, including Lloyd, Taffy's, Frank Gourmet Hot Dogs and Macarollin, will offer a taste of Buffalo's best.


Throughout the day, the festival will provide additional attractions, including a farmers' market, flea market, business market, craft show, bake goods, beer and wine tent from Becker Farms, basket raffles, silent auction, meat raffle and treasure chest.


A pizza taste-off contest begins at 1 p.m., featuring Banchetti by Rizzo's, Mike's Subs, Just Pizza, DiPaulo's, Besta, Santora's Restaurant and more. Attendees may purchase a taster's ticket for $5, which includes samples of over 12 types of pizza.


The Mount St. Mary Academy Jazz Ensemble, band and dance team will be performing throughout the day on the front lawn. The evening will conclude with a performance by the award-winning Mount St. Mary Academy Marching band at 5:30 p.m. A Chiavetta's barbecue will also be available from 3-6 p.m.


Northtown Lexus, River Grill, Banchetti and West Herr Dealerships are sponsoring this event.


Admission is free. Guests are asked to bring a lawn chair or blanket. In the event of rain, festivities will be staged inside the school.
